The SIV course is one of the most fun ways for the pilot to approach and gain new experience to become a safer pilot!
SIV training is conducted to improve the knowledge and ability to accurately judge and respond to abnormal flight scenarios when pilots fall into unsafe conditions in a general flight environment. Undeniable that glider safety has improved significantly in recent years, but no paraglider that does not collapse or stall. Particularly, in low-altitude areas such as after takeoff and before landing, the flow of air currents tends to change rapidly, and once the unsafe situation happens in such areas, there is no altitude and space left to recover the glider. In SIV training, not only what to do after an abnormal flight occurs but also the course emphasizes learning how to avoid unexpected scenarios happening.
All of the course is set on the safest conditions as much as possible – over water along with a rescue boat and first aid team– in the stunning landscape of Tri An Lake.
